So scribe america said i could work once a week 11 hours. Was wondering if i could do anything else like hospice and would that be looked as inferior. I tried looking private clinics for a month but they dont allow scribing.

I am going to take a gap year where i couldnt do anything before (private matter). Is getting 400 hours in 8 months sus as a scribe, like will my dedication be looked down on i heard admissions like long term commitment.

Why on Earth do you think working in hospice would be inferior than scribing?? Very few people want to get up close and personal with our mortality.

Volunteering does not need to be a life sentence. We just don't want to see you working for places like 2 weeks at a pop.

You can only accrue and report the hours you did. 50 hours per month isn't terrible.

As someone who recently went through this process, your experience and writing (PS, secondaries) are incredibly important.

I cannot emphasize this enough. Whatever you do, make sure you can articulate the why in a way that is personal and unique to you. Maybe doing hospice can help you stand out! I did pharmacy tech and psychiatry tech. I had an easier time writing about the psych tech experiences.

Also, I think 400 H in 8 months is fine.

Oh my reason was scribing is more medicaly involved then hospice. Also the 400 hours in 8 months is that fine as well?
