Good resources for learning endemic emergencies?

I'll be moving to central Florida shortly for my first job, and it's not an area that I grew up in. I'm not that familiar with the endemic diseases/flora/fauna, having grown up and trained in the northeast. Anything that I'll need to learn quickly? And if you're not sure, any good resources/websites for learning about the more endemic diseases/issues?
