What are the schools that are known for or good for stem cell research (and/or regenerative medicine)?
When I go to medical school, what should I specialize in to work or study more about stem cell?
I'm interested in stem cell research and regenerative medicine, but I cannot find that many schools that have good program.

I believe UMDNJ-RWJMS has a good reputation in the field of stem cell research. Check it out...

You could look at the literature and see who is doing a lot of publishing in the field which you're interested in.

uwash just got a new stem cell center

You may wish to consider graduate school if you're very interested in stem cell research. It might offer you a more direct path to becoming heavily involved in that field. (Although, of course, MD's work in research as well.)

+1.

it's unlikely that you would be doing much hands-on stuff with stem cells as a pure MD. it is bleeding egde technology. you might get the chance to do an elective or something, but it's all very theoretical right now.

consider MD/PhD or straight PhD programs. UCSF springs to mind.

Tulane is pretty big for adult stem cell stuff
