Good Step 1 score but when to take Step 2?

This is really premature I know but...

So I got a 236/99, and believe me, despite all the Harvard bound 260+ people I'm very satisfied with my score. But now I'm wondering, should I even worry about step 2?

For me I think I want to go to a competitive location rather than specialty. If I wanted to do something of low - intermediate competitiveness in Washington State or the NE (not California) do I need to bust my ass for step 2 as well? Or can I just blow it off? Do residency directors even look at Step 2 anymore after a certain threshhold for step 1?

Except maybe anesthesia I'm not so interested in any of the ROAD specialties. I know that residency admissions is multifactorial but any opinions would be nice. Thanks.
