Anyone out there have a good book for bedside procedures i.e. central lines, chest tubes, etc?

I've been looking at Roberts: Clinical Procedures in Emergency Medicine and at Reichman's Emergency Medicine Procedures. But I am surprised that there is not a similar SURGICAL text that goes into these thing in depth with more of a surgical perspective.

Thanks!

I'm not sure the depth to which you are looking, but the Washington Manual Surgery Survival Guide has an appendix that is pretty descriptive (and comes with pictures) of most bedside procedures. [/shameless plug]

Manual of Common Bedside Surgical Procedures and ScutMonkey are pretty good also.

There are plenty of books with these kind of procedures. They are not inherently "surgical" as many specialties place central lines and chest tubes, so I'm not sure what "surgical" bent you are looking for (except to note that surgeons generally put in bigger tubes and lines than the medicine guys do...don't get me started on the pigtail caths for huge PTxs).

I like Manual of Bedside Procedures (as noted above; http://www.amazon.com/Manual-Common...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235006106&sr=1-1) or there is something called the Field Guide to Urgent And Ambulatory Procedures:http://www.amazon.com/Field-Guide-U...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235006026&sr=8-1

As I recall, these are both on my Recommended List on Amazon (no shameless plug here).
