Well, it’s been out for 2 days now. Seeing as anesthesiologists seem to be on the ball when it comes to technology, anyone else using it? Thus far I’m underwhelmed. I haven’t seen anything special that I couldn’t do in firefox with the right plugins. Anyone found something cool in it?

For now, I am sticking with firefox.

the real beauty of chrome is the fact that it is really efficient. compare the amount of system resources that the two use. mozilla (2.0 version), and chrome. chrome uses like 10 megs and mozilla uses like 120 megs.

beware: chrome has some "spyware like" qualities...traces what you typed.

I haven't tried chrome, am just gonna stick w/firefox for now.

Totally. I never realized how much adblock plus blocked before now. That paired with the lack of basic functions like "find" ... I foresee a switch back to Mozilla soon.

Can't say I'm a huge fan.

1) I don't like the having to click through a few things to find my history. I rashly close my tabs way too often, and it's nice how Firefox has them right there waiting for me. Plus, if I change my mind or don't see what I want, I just move the mouse away, and they're gone. In Chrome, I have to close a new tab that automatically opened. Small detail, yet, but it makes my browsing easier. Firefox 1, Chrome 0.

2) Memory usage: 2 tabs: Chrome 30MB. Firefox is using 80MB.
4 tabs: Chrome 60MB, Firefox 100MB
7 tabs: Chrome 120MB, Firefox 130MB
It's a wash.

3) In terms of general speediness, I've never noticed a difference.

I'm sticking with Firefox. Partially this is because of the weird stuff I read about Chrome tracking your movements too. Anonymously of course, but still, I'd rather not have Google collect any more information than they already do on me.
