I got an interview invite to Salus prior to taking the OAT. I'm scheduled to take the Oat Feb 17, 2015. Is it a bad idea to schedule the interview say Feb 20th as opposed to having it in the next 2 weeks? I'm just so focused on studying for the oat I'm afraid any time spent going to Salus and prepping for the actual interview is time taken away from studying... Or will waiting till after I take the OAT to go for that interview hurt my chances of getting in?

Do you mind sharing your stats ?

and do well on your OAT and then interview. too much pressure at once.

congrats on scoring an interview! good luck with the OAT! =)

ps- what are your stats( gpa's , experience etc) just curious

Hey guys, So I just took my OAT and already applied to NOVA, NECO ,SUNY, PCO( just had my SUNY Interview and have interview invites from all except NOVA at the moment)...what are my chances of getting into any of these schools with the following OAT scores...I know I'm a super late applicant
QR: 310
Reading Comp: 340
Biology: 350
Gen Chem: 370
Organic chem: 360
physics 300
Total science: 350
Academic Average: 340

My GPA is 3.8 ( and 3.5 science GPA)

For experience, I worked at an optometric practice and went to India with Unite for Sight to volunteer there ( I highly recommend if anyone is interested in volunteering abroad)...also published a paper on Computer vision Syndrome, and helped cofound a pre-optometry club at my school which I am president of

Even though you're a late applicant your OAT, GPA, and experience are all awesome. You may not get in everywhere you apply, but they hold spots through the end for high stat applicants like you!

You have great stats…you're way higher than the PCO averages. If being a late applicant holds you back, you might want to consider waiting until next year because I think you could get into one of the really good schools with those scores and your GPA.
