So I got a rejection from Albany, rejection from Boston university, and a hold from Rush - all in the same day. I was down about that.
So today I got another thin envelope (you know the one with only a single piece of paper inside) from UIC. But it was an invite - yahooooo, so beware of the thin envelope from UIC - it maybe good news. I was down but I just bounced back up.

Are you an Aug Mcater by any chance? And if you don't mind me asking, when did you submit your UIC secondary? I submitted mine in early Nov and haven't heard a peep from them since (not even confirmation of receiving the 2ary!).

Thanks. I did take the MCAT in August, but August of last year. So that is now what took time I guess for them to get back to me. I had my letters in early but it took me a couple of months to get the secondary out (I was being real lazy). I don't know when I sent it out, I am the idiot that didn't write that down, but if I remember correctly it was in November. I also did not receive a confirmation, I guess they don't send out one.

I submitted my secondary to UIC in October and haven't heard anything at all either. I've got 2 other out of state public schools interviewing me, and I can't get my own state to look at me! That's frustrating

Hey same here, I got public schools out of state interviewing me, but my own state schools aren't even thinking about it. Maybe it's cause I am from california.

Ug I was complete in end of August at UIC and only heard about my rejection two weeks ago...For now no news is good news!

Congrats on the UIC invite. I just got back from UIC (Chicago campus) and I have to say its a pretty good school and I would be happy to be there, but I really can't say anything about the other UIC campuses since I haven't seen them. Despite the 3 person group (panel) interview, the interview itself is very relaxed. Good luck!

I know the feeling about mixed news. I got a rejection from Cornell 🙁 , but an invite to UCSD 😀 so life is good.

hey nooren - sorry about the cornell rejection. But, was it pre-interview or post-interview? When did you get it? I haven't been invited to interview there so I guess I could be getting a rej. soon too. 😡
