What are you doing with all the free time you have as a premed student?

What are you doing for pure fun, doing "just cuz" you're human and not a premed psychopath.

😛 I'm a self taught guitarist of two years. Picked it up after I heard of Taylor Swift back in 2007 and she inspired me to play and write. I own a Taylor 214 and it is the the love of my life. har har

😛 Learning to surf! I majoring fail at it, but hey, I think I'm getting the hang of it. Wipe outs are my favorite past time and if I'm lucky, the class I'm taking next quarter will provide countless opportunities to do so!

😛 I'm a blogger. Just started a new one: www.sandyangle.wordpress.com for all you out in San Diego. Check it out and tell me what you think.

😛 Currently obsessed with Country Music. Very typical for an Asian, huh?

😛 Archery! I'm still learning, but I think I'm pretty good to start off with. Hopefully I can go out and practice more, but I'm still debating on whether a 1000 dollar investment in a good quality bow is a good investment in the long run.

Your turn?

I play piano and a little guitar but I don't have as much time to practice as I'd like. I'm also taking a horseback riding class and would like to start doing more with that too.

Most of my free time is spent hanging out with my friends.

I sleep, watch t.v, hang with friends and spend time on SDN.

wow what type of guitar do you play?

I love playing.. it just makes all the stress go away.

i taught myself the guitar too, but in hs, and i continued it throughout college. Got a cheap 30$ one off of ebay that was okay.

i started powerlifting in college after following the typical bodybuilder routine for years. It's amazing how much stronger you can get following an actually good routine.

joined the wrestling club, brazilian jiujitsu club- good stuff. I'm not much of a partier so i generally spent most of my free time in the gym, athletic building, or on the intramural field.

i also started reading japanese manga. Some of this stuff is completely ridiculous to me, but some series (like Berserk) have incredible storylines, characters, and the artwork is amazing.

I mainly play electric, but I have a classical as well. My sophomore year of college I spent over $2000 on guitar stuff. Probably explains my current financial situation.

lol, that's 5 months worth of rent for me. do you do performances? At the least you could play on the sidewalk and make up the debt, dollar by dollar.

One thing about blogging is that I stop it after posting for a while. I tried to start a blog for a couple of times. But, I can't seem to commit for a long time.

your school offers horseback riding? getting out in the fresh air, learning to ride would've been awesome, but unfortunately my school was stuck right in the middle of LA.

blogging about peace corps applications, training for the boston marathon
running, working out (not exactly always fun...)
writing! I write middle-grade fiction novels!
reading
surfing the net/SDN
playing online video games with my fiance (we're long distance)
sleeping in as much as possible!

I love my free time and value it very highly. Whenever considering opportunity costs of various activities, having a spare couple hours for my own enjoyment usually adds like +5 to that choice. haha

I play mostly acoustic, but I'm trying to pick up the electric.
Dang 2000 bucks.. If I had 2000 to spare, man I'd go crazy over that stuff.

I actually played on the street with at group of friends last christmas for about 2 hours and raised about 100 bucks for the American Red Cross.. not significant, but it felt to put our time to good use 🙂

Well I did make $1000 of it back by selling the equipment the new stuff replaced.

drinking, fighting, reading the bible - no particular order.

Not much free time...I'm training for a triathlon and studying for the MCAT. Oh--and spending at least one day a week with the sweetest nieces EVER!!!! 🙂
