I got an email saying the school reviewed my primary and want me to submit a secondary application, should I do so? I realize it's October and was wondering if this was just an opportunity to cash grab from the applicants. Do all applicants that submitted a primary here but did not submit a secondary receive this email?

Do you have the money to do it? Do it. What could it hurt?

If you have other schools that are a better fit for you, complete those first.

I got the email... LizzyM 75+ with strong EC's. Feels like a cash grab to me but who knows.

Just do it. You work through undergrad to get in somewhere. It's what, 100 bucks or less? Unless you're in financial dire straits, fork it up

My issue was laziness more than financial. Looking at the questions again, Northwestern's doesn't look too bad - maybe I will do it. Though, I don't know how I would answer the inevitable interview question, "so, Gurby, why did you wait so long to complete our secondary?"

Easy, you consulted a shaman that stated Northwestern will reject you.

You're looking at (very conservatively) 10000 hours of work over the 4 years of med school. Whats a couple hrs spent on a secondary?

Yeah. Cash grab. I would send everyone a secondary if I was a med school comeon. Its another hundred or so bucks no?

But what does it matter to you? You already spent thousands, and will spend hundreds of thousands in this entire process.

you never want to close doors for a lack of effort. Fill out Northwestern.
