I've just got a 4 year BS degree in biology (pre-med), but then decided to go to pharmacy school instead. However, I'm lacking a couple of pre-req classes, such as speech, history, microbiology, etc. How would I go about completing those?

Could I just take those classes from community college or another university then transfer them? If someone could give me an example of such program, that would be really helpful. I'm a little lost at the moment. Thanks.

Take the courses at a community college. You don't need to enroll in a degree program; just make sure they transfer to whatever university you'd like to attend. Start shadowing/volunteering/working in pharmacy. Start browsing the PCAT section of the bookstore if you plan to take the PCAT (an entrance exam which some pharmacy schools require)... Most importantly, read the forums and use the "search" function... as this is a really common trend as far as questions go, so you'll find lots of the info you need.

Take them at a community college, cheaper. I know most only require COM100, but check with the pharm schools you are applying. Most require a "world" history class rather than a state or US history course, but check with the pharm schools you are appplying again. Not sure if there is an intro micro class, so I "think" whichever one your local CC offers is the correct one needed. I know my local CC calls it BIO205. Best of luck! 👍
