Yea, I've gotta say, the intensity of everyone in this thread scared me. But I appreciate the summaries of secondaries availible and some of the costs so I can start planning ahead 😀 It's ironic that I just turned 21, but due to the cost of secondaries/interviewing probably wont be able to go have an evening at a bar until 2006...

I got an email from Pat Forguites saying that they are working on fixing problem now. The new system isn't recognizing anybody's AMCAS ID. They are going to contact me when everything is fixed.

What’s late for secondaries? Everyone says turn-around time should be a week or two, but if I have the option of submitting one in July, or waiting until the end of August and being able to describe new volunteer activities (particularly clinical, which is a gaping hole in my app), which is better? Besides, I’m really broke, so I have to stagger them anyway... just curious what is considered late for secondaries.

Anyone else doing Georgetown's secondary? An entire single-spaced page on why you applied to Georgetown...seriously, the personal statement length...i already wrote an essay only a little longer than that describing my entire philosophy behind pursuing medicine and now i have to crank out the same amount of writing on simply why I selected one school? I think it's a great essay topic, actually, but the length seems a little over the top...eh, just my random vent of the day. back to working on secondaries and telling my boss i'm too busy to take on any new projects at work today. 😀

I just finished my 1 page essay, had to fix the margins inorder to actually fit it into one page. What else do we include on that piece of paper? name? ssn? AMCAS ID?

Evidently it's not available yet. I think they're still working out the bugs in the system....

I have to say the best thing I've ever read on this forum is signing up for Interfolio's services. They have electronic delivery accounts with almost all my medical schools (so far) and it gets to the med school the very same day you send in the request. I swear I was complete at MCW the day after the delivery and am now awaiting news of an interview. God, I love technology.

I got the George Washington secondary last Monday. Very excited, but just discovered that my composite letter did not even started yet, still early I guess.

Does anyone receive Loyola, UW, or Loyola secondary yet?

When you logged in, did you get to a window that says this?

"Your application status:

A SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION has been requested. Please select the SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION LINK in the left navigation bar and complete your Supplemental Application."

Below this is a paragraph about using Interfolio.

There should be a link on the left hand side that says "Supplemental Application." I was able to fill out all the information, but it won't let me submit yet. It shouldn't take too long to fill out. There aren't any essays, it just asks to list the cities and towns in which you have lived from birth to the present and if you have any other "unusual situations" you want the admissions office to know about.

Yes- I enjoy it very much. The hardest part is signing the check... I feel like my wrist is going to be in pain at the end of this process

I'm having problems w/ the baylor logins. I created new user. then i logged off and try to login as existing user. I cant login using the l/p i just created. When i go back to create using same info, it lead me to the right page.

I actually filled out a majority of the form but i guess it didn't save.

Just for that, i'm not applying to baylor. ............................(yea right)

Anyone think it would be more useful to have a list of schools and as someone gets a secondary they add the school to the list? It would let people know more efficiently if they are "behind" in getting secondaries or in limbo for pre-screening.
