I got the NJ today as well....blech. I don't like it when they ask you on the applications if you had any relatives that went to the school. I feel like since im not legacy...im gonna get put to the bottom of the pile. oof.

Altho...NJ does say to talk about family, relatives, FRIENDS....

can I jsut say I have a bunch of friends in Jersey and wouldnt mind being there?

nah, I don't think so. If the secondary is available, the schools are cool with us sending them in whenever. Like I've done MUSC, even though I haven't gotten communication from them. The ones that are available to everybody obviously don't have any screening or anything, and the schools probably couldn't care less if people go ahead and send them in.

Well set small goals for yourself. Like if you finish this essay you'll go get ice cream or something! Just think how good you'll feel when you're done and in a few months when you're going through all your acceptances and choosing where you want to go to school!

VT = Vermont (the state)
UVM = University of Vermont (the school)

UVM actually stands for "Universitas Viridis Montis" (L, University of the Green Mountain)

To be complete, the proper abbreviation for the med school is UVM COM (COM = College of Medicine).

I don't think they do hmgcoa... after all, they just hit you up for a check and say if they want your LORs etc then they'll let you know.

It's sort of annoying that schools like Penn, Mayo and Harvard don't even screen after their primaries. It's a huge scam where they all know that if you get their secondary, you WILL fill it out and they automatically get another $75-100 from you. Bastards!

....doesn't mean that I don't want to go there though 😀

I got in fine, but I have a question. They basically say don't send us anything in addition to AMCAS, like new grades, letters, etc as it cannot be added to your file. Did I read that wrong or what? I emailed them to ask, so i'll post it if others are interested.

Tufts is available on their website but requires a code that you'll get through e-mail before it can be submitted. I don't think anyone has received the code yet. Tufts does not screen.
