me too! yey 🙂
except I'm having trouble logging in. for some reason it's not accepting the password. is anyone else having that trouble? perhaps it's the computer i'm on.
I too just received their secondary invite via e-mmail, verified and paid the small fee. I had trouble logging in as well but I realized my caps was on...so just make sure you put the username and password in properly. Good luck! I like the short and simple ones! 😀 😎

I just got Temple's too. And I'm not a PA resident. Very quick and painless application with online submission, love it.

I haven't gotten their application either, but I don't think they screen. Straight off their website: "Once a verified application is received, all applicants are sent a link to complete the supplemental application online and submit a nonrefundable $70 application fee."

Hope this helps!

University of Chicago Pritzker is 19 in the US News Research rankings (no primary care rank). Is that what you were asking?

Who has already received an invitation to fill out Jefferson's secondary via email?

Filling out Temple right now... Got it yesterday afternoon.

AMCAS submitted June 5th
AMCAS verified mid-June (15thish? I don't remember(
Secondaries recieved: Ohio State, GTown, GW, Case Western, Pritzker
None submitted yet

Does anyone mind posting the Keck secondary? AMCAS seems to taking their sweet time with verifying my application 👎

AMCAS submitted: June 7
AMCAS verified: July 11 (transcript snafu ... arrrrgh)

Sent Tulane today (7/16)
You don't have to hear from them to sent secondary ... see: Tulane But duh, I learned that here, so you know that already 😉

Got USC ... you'll need a password to get in, unfortunately, TicAL, so the link won't be of much use: USC

Got Temple yesterday. Looks pretty simple. Any Western Pa people applying the Western PA clinical campus?

just out of curiosity... for those whos pre-med committees are taking their jolly times wiht the LORs, are you guys going ahead with sending the other supplemental secondary questions and stuff? Or waiting for the committee to finish writing the letter before sending everything in at once.

I submitted my application July 2nd, but AMCAS only got my transcript July 8th, does anyone know when I should expect my application to finally be done?? Thanks 🙂

Go ahead and send in your application. I wouldn't wait for the LORs.

i have not yet gotten the tufts email, but if you google for it, you'll come up with this link.

not a bad secondary, but if youre applying to a combined degree program, it might take a little while. but definitely not as bad as others....

On the website, it says:
In order to complete and submit our secondary application, you will need a Secondary Application Authorization Number. You will find your unique SAA number in our letter inviting you to submit a secondary application.

But they have a link to the secondary as a PDF form...so couldn't anyone just fill it out and mail it in without an authorization number??

agreed w. previous poster. I'm sending my secondaries in as soon as i can get them finished. I'd rather them wait in the office of admissions than wait on my crappy pre-med office to hurry their erm.."rear ends" up.

Hey how long has processing been taking for AMCAS? (lately) I hope to submit mine by tuesday.

Here is the thread you need: AMCAS 2006 Submitted/Ready for Review/Under Review/Complete
By the way, it currently stands at 1-2 weeks. (Speed within that range seemingly based on random chance.)

yeah, i thought the same thing, until i looked through the pdf. there is a space on the first page for you to write in that special number, and it explicitly says (in the instructions pdf) that if that space is left blank, they will not review your app. so i guess we have to wait till we are invited to fill it out....

For anybody who's wondering, I'm a PA resident and I received the Temple email on Friday but I still haven't gotten Jefferson. I think this early in the process they're just trying to get the emails out. With Jefferson they might have a quick pre-screening, as well. So don't worry if you haven't gotten it yet!

Oh boy this is kinda bad, my avg essay completion is about 2 essays per week. How will i ever finish my secondaries!!

Does Temple pre-screen? I'm worried that I haven't gotten the secondary e-mail.

I'm pretty sure that Temple doesn't screen. But what I'm saying is that if you've received any AMCAS or med school communication at your email address, the schools have your email and you'll get the secondaries. Who knows why I haven't gotten Jeff and others have? But I'm pretty sure we'll all get them soon enough 🙂. No need to worry.

That's very true. There's no use in worrying about a particular school (ie Jefferson & Vermont for me..hehe) since we'll all eventually get those secondaries anyways. Thanks for the reassuring post. 👍

Quick question,
Do schools give you a deadline to complete secondary based on the date they sent it to you?
Reason why I am askng is that between now and end of August I have no time to work on secondaries. Wouldn't want to start on it now.
Any ideas...

I know some do... for example, VCU gives you 30 days to complete your file (including LORs). I think Univ. Colo. also has a time restriction, but i could be misremembering.

As I recall, Northwestern wanted the secondary and letter returned within a few weeks (I think you got longer for the letters). You could ask for an extension though.

I have also yet to get Jefferson's Secondary. I'm hoping I get it this week. I was verified last Thursday, so maybe I'll get it a little later than others.

For some schools, are you just supposed to check for secondaries online? Will they not notify you by email/mail about filling it out, and you are on your own to get them in?

If so, what schools?

Is there a list compiled anywhere about schools that have their secondaries available online?

Still no Jefferson for me!!!!!! Where isssss ittttttt?????

I just got UPenn today. It's extraordinarily simple (as in no essays, not even "optional" ones).

I got the VCU status page today, but no Jefferson or Vermont. Maybe I should pout some more... 😡

Here goes nothing....

Describe the distinguishable characteristics you possess and tell us how you think these characteristics will enhance your success as a FSM medical student and future physician.

Describe a time when you faced personal adversity that was not school related. What coping strategies did you employ/develop? If you believe you have not had such an experience(s), feel free to tell us anything more you'd like the Committee on Admissions to know about how you deal with personal challenges (e.g. financial, relationship, family, employment).

Please select either a), b), or c) to answer:

1. If, by the time you enter medical school, you have not been (or, will not have been) enrolled as a full-time student in a formal education program for more than 6 months at any time, please list the dates below and describe what you did (or, will be doing) during your time away from formal education.

2. If you have been enrolled in formal education and have spent a semester or more overseas, please describe what you did and its influence on your personal development.

3. If you have been enrolled in formal education but option b) does not apply to you, please describe in detail an out-of-the-classroom activity that has influenced your personal development.

I know this is crazy! Do they screen?

Also, I still have to retake my MCAT - not so stellar start. Should I just try for NW? Or are they one of those schools that say, you should strongly reconsider applying if you don't have "this or that" grades/MCAT.

Thanks
