Website says all applicants are getting secondaries. I thought it was screened because I have the old MSAR, which says they screen. I felt really good about myself for about 15 minutes until I decided to double check.
 
hrm, even though I got the email from Rosalind Franklin... I can't log in to their website with the login/pass they gave me... DOH! 😱

I'm used to these technical glitches now... just gotta wait and see if it fixes itself.
 
hell yeah!! just got UCI secondary invitation!!! I wasn't expecting anything from UCs...my gosh! that just madey day!! 😀

The password is all lowercase, despite what they said in the email.

Penn State is a public school but slightly over 50% of their class is from out of state.

Actually, Penn State is one of the state schools that accepts a huge number of out-of-state applicants. Sort of sucks for those of us with PA residencies, because we don't have as much of a preference for being in-state.

I've been lucky with my secondaries so far, so this is my first with a bunch of required essays. They're only 50 words each, but that might actually be harder because we have to say what we want very succinctly. At least they aren't stupid essays or anything. I still have to figure out why they should think I'm special, though 😛

This may have been answered elsewhere, though I didn't find it. Is Vanderbilt notifying people via snail or electronic mail?

Yah I just got Hopkins and Penn in the mail (already mailed out Penns anyways hehe) and Stanford via e-mail today.

I still haven't heard a single word from Vandy though... and people be gettin invites for interviews 😱 !!
 
Completely out of curiosity (I'm NOT being anal! 😛), does anybody know when Penn sends out its first interview invites? How about other Philly schools, or AECOM? And does Penn actually reject people instead of inviting them, or do they wait until February to send out all decisions, including rejections?
 
Cool, just got UCSD, and also the match list for UMich. I thought it might be an interview invite because it said "so you're just beginning your medical school interviews," but alas, it is not. Oh well, guess I should start to look at UCSD now...
 
Even though I have answered all the questions on page 1 (General Information), including all the essay/elaboration components, the system will not allow me to save my responses and designate that page as complete. I get a message regarding "QUESTION 4: REQUIRED", but I have already answered it to nearly the 600-word limit. I know it has nothing to do with the cut and paste because I followed their directions and saved the essay as a .txt file. So what else could be wrong? Did anyone else run into the same difficulty?

I just got Loyola's in snail mail, im in Cali so I guess it took longer than others 🙂

Sweet, yeah, thanks for pointing that out. I had it at the bottom of the pile 'cause I figured it was non-rolling. now I'll do it ASAP.
 
hm...apparently i just submitted my UMich secondary without pressing submit................................

thank god it was done.

But they did ask if I was applyiing as a "Couple" Do you think that helps or hurts you if you do put your husband/bf/significant other there?

I didn't get that problem...

I do remember there being a small SAVE button toward the bottom of the page, but since they don't allow you to look at your application once you submit it I can't remember if it was really there or not.

awesome, i can exert that much less effort before they take my money and reject me.

can anyone post or PM me the cornell 2ndary? its hard to search for it. theyre taking forever to send it, i called them and they said theyre converting their system or something, maybe the were non amcas i dont know. but it pisses me off when schools take forever to get things done, it doesnt reflect well.

What is the story on the MSU secondary? How long is the wait after the pre-paid pre-screen?
 
I have a question about the yale status page. The website states that Yale has received my secondary, certification form and all letters of rec. Yet, the last question "Application completed and in review on" has NO in the accompanying field.

Can anyone explain or have a similar response??

I had that same issue for about 2.5 weeks after everything else was complete. I checked today and my app is in review (07.28). I would give them some time to get it in review.

I never got a complete notification. I sent the secondary in on July 14th, and they still haven't cashed my check. Also, I'm an NJ resident if that means anything.
 
hooray. UCLA. apparently, without ever telling me they received my app, they granted me the secondary back on july 26th. guess i have to start checking more rigorously!
