(There's an old anesthetic technique which used a succinylcholine INFUSION more commonly called a sux-drip for paralysis during a case...the clinician would mix the powder into an IV bag...)

I haven't seen Sux powder in a while. In residency, there was one attending, total geek, great guy, learned a ton from him, who taught us the old Sux drip for quick laryngeal cases. Really was the bomb for these cases.

He also taught me how to get really low flows by feeding the exhaust from the gas analyzer back into the circuit, and how to do inhalational anesthesia with no vaporizer.

Dude was awesome. The true MacGyver of the OR.
