NY resident?
You look good. Cut some reaches if you want to save $.Sorry I forgot, NJ resident.

Definitely cut out some of the reaches. I would cut Harvard, JHU, Duke, P&S, and Yale (do you have something really unique in your PS, or experience adversity, etc? that you are not telling us about)...
I would add a few really good school that you missed out on:
Case Western (strong program)
Univ. of Virginia (good rank + match & beautiful campus)
If you even cut 2 of the aforementioned reaches and add in Case/UVA, I think it will be a better targeted list.
Please don't quote the post.
I am being a little vague but I will try to get as much info across as possible. I have already submitted my application but wanted to know if I should add any other schools/safeties. I am aiming for research schools.
cGPA and sGPA: 3.8-3.9+
School: Well Known State School; Transferred to Ivy; applying as Junior
MCAT: 36 Balanced
Ethnicity: Asian (not sure if ORM because I'm not Indian or Chinese/East Asian)
Clinical:
-Shadowing - 120+ hours across many types
-Clinical volunteering - 50 hours in hospital
-Clinical employment - provided direct patient care (screening, histories, testing etc.) - 450 hours
Research:
-2 years of bench research in 2 labs (2 summers and 2 school years); had my own projects and developed/designed my own experiments. Very significant experience; sadly no publications or posters, but I can speak about it in detail
-Total ~600 hours (plus 300 expected)
-Will continue in second lab until graduation
-I'm a bit worried that without pubs I will look weak in this area
Teaching:
-Paid Biology Tutor and Student Mentor for 1 year ~100 hours - ongoing until graduation
Nonclinical Volunteering:
-1 comm. service leadership position over 1 year - on-campus club - did service on campus and inner city (soup kitchens, food drives, and some other unique events) - I helped organize many of them and participated as well ~75 hours community service and ~150 hours club involvement
-Religious community center volunteering - 6 years ~150 hours - general maintenance, clean up, set up, collecting donations for the needy, food drives etc.
Other Leadership/Extracurricular:
-As mentioned in volunteering, part of same club, 2nd leadership position was student gov based for 1 year; total time in club was 2 years
Non-clinical employment:
-1 hospital administration internship
-Other work over this summer, but did not include in app
A few cool hobbies - won't go into them here but they are at least somewhat unique if I say so myself!
School List: Concerns are that my MCAT is too "average" for these schools, especially since I am Asian (not sure if this is a valid concern or just nervousness). Secondly though my research is very involved and significant, I don't have pubs/posters (downside of transferring I suppose). I have already submitted to these schools but wanted to know the general opinion on my app and if I should add more mid tiers or safeties. Thanks!
Reach:

Yale University
Johns Hopkins University
Washington University in St. Louis

Target:

Also if adcoms wanna help I would really appreciate it! @Catalystik @Goro @gyngyn
List looks good. Perhaps consider Vanderbilt, Mayo, Case, or USC?
You look good for Case and USC.Vandy I'm not too interested in due to location; same for Mayo (plus don't they only take like 50 people per class?). I'll look into Case and USC. Thanks for the comments Goro.
Anyone else have any comments/suggestions/concerns?
Emory?Vandy I'm not too interested in due to location; same for Mayo (plus don't they only take like 50 people per class?). I'll look into Case and USC. Thanks for the comments Goro.
