GPA = 7.5, MCAT 499

Your MCAT score is not competitive for your CA schools and most OOS MD schools. However, you are competitive for some DO schools so consider all these:
ACOM
ARCOM
BCOM
WCU-COM
LMU-DCOM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
VCOM (all 3 schools)
ATSU-SOMA
UIWSOM
NYIT-Arkansas
RVU-Utah
You may need a DO LOR for some schools.
If you want to apply to MD schools you would need to retake the MCAT but do not retake until your practice scores are consistently above 508.

MCAT is lethal for MD; apply broadly to DO. Skip the coastal Touros, AZCOM, CCOM and KCU.\

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask some inputs for my stats. I don't know if I should retake the MCAT, or if I should apply this cycle. I will apply both MD and DO.

California. Major: Psychology. Graduate: 2016
GPA at Community college = 3.82
GPA at University = 3.75
MCAT = 499 (in March 2017)
(Chem/Phys = 125, CARS = 123, Bio = 125, Psyc = 126)

I came in the United States when I was 21 (around 2010) as an immigrant, so English definitely is not my first language. It took me 1 year to study English and then I started Community college, and then transferred to the University. I am not sure if I am unrepresentative because I am Asian.
