Hi,

A friend told me that AADSAS calculates GPA with +/- and that A+ = 4.333 and B+ = 3.666 and so on.

Does anyone know if this is true? Because my school calculates GPA with A+= 4.3 and B+ = 3.3

I was wondering if anyone knew about the exact system. Would my GPA be re-calculated if there were this discrepancy?

Thanks! It's a spring break for me and it's definitely awesome!!

Can someone verify that AADSAS counts 3 GPA's:

Cum
BCP
Science

Can someone tell me what GPA the school's look for:

Cum + Science
or
Cum + BCP
????

Thanks.

You're so lucky...at my school an A+ is a 4.0! 😡

Doesn't aadsas calculate one GPA including the +/- option and one without any +/-? I know that my undergrad had no +/- system and where I am taking my postbac some professors use +/- and some don't. It always seemed to me that not using +/- is the most accurate way to compare applicants as some schools don't even use this system.

Okay so yeah another question is, when we see the avg GPA on the dental school websites, like UCSF = 3.48 or something and 3.7 for Harvard, is that the GPA with +/- or without it?

your gpa will be recalculated to the aadsas +/- system. They calculate using both a plus and minus system, typically they will be very similar cause all the plus and minuses even out. I went to a +/- school for two years and the gpa with and without +/- included were basically the same. As for which gpa science or bcp they use, different schools use different ones some use the science and some use bcp. I think temple uses bcp and iusd uses science. It varies.
