Hi,

My ECE GPA is low (2.6) whereas my WES GPA is better (3.5). So I wanted to know if completing any certificate programs from accredited schools and /or taking up CE courses will help in boosting the GPA. I did call up ECE and ask them about adding credits from any program that is done in the US to the evaluation report so as to increase the GPA and they said that they will consider only credits from programs that are earned in foriegn countries. Am planning to give my Part 1 and hope and aiming to do well. However I would like to know if any one in the same situvation have done anything like this to improve their GPA and also how the schools calculated the GPA's for people who have completed other programs in the US and then joined DDS/DMD programs.

didya send all the relevant documents at frist go or didya forget something? eg: if you were in India doing your internship, didya send your internship completion certificate or no?

one way to improve ur gpa is join MPH / MBA in US n try n do wel in this program to achieve a good GPA. so then u can send ur GPA of these programs to colleges u wish to apply.

Isn't that ridiculous how different they are??? My eCE is also low. I wish I had sent my socres to WES instead. Ugh too late now!
Too bad not all schools accept WES though!

2.6 to 3.5 is a huge difference.
