Hey,

How does the Ireland GPA scale work? I've been searching the internet for a chart, but was unable to find one.

I go to a Canadian university which uses a 12 point system...which is easily converted to the "Ontario" 4.0 GPA scale. However, I did not include this GPA on the application form because this is what we use HERE...and NOT in Ireland.

Anyways, right now I have "Please see transcripts" I think that is the safest way around it. Does anybody know how they convert GPAs in Ireland.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Good luck to everyone out there applying!

They wouldn't really convert. If you include your school's grading scale along with your transcript, that should suffice. Or if you want to convert it to the 4.0 grading scale, and say that you've done so, that should be alright too. The Irish grading system works in a funny way, and trying to convert even a 4.0 grading scale to it would be a loose conversion even.
