Hey all,
After recently taking the OAT and doing some GPA calculations, I am curious by how my numbers stack up. I'd prefer some honest feedback if nothing else. I'm entering my senior year of undergrad at a 4-year public institution in Michigan. I'm a bio-med major. I've applyed to MCO (MI), PCO (PA), IUSO (IN), UMSCO (MO), SCO (TN), NOVA/SE (FL), and ICO (IL).
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
"Science" GPA: 3.05
(My science GPA has me a little nervous.)
OAT Results:
-QR---330
-RC---370
-Biology---360
-Gen Chem---400
-Org Chem---350
-Physics---340
-Total Sci---370
--Academic Avg------360
I realize most would probably consider a 360 to be at least decent, if not somewhat competitive.
I also understand that applying is more than just GPA/OAT scores, however, based on these figures, what do you guys think?
[I was reading that a high OAT score can somewhat cover for a low-ish GPA.]
