so I have a low gpa, but it shows an upward trend. i still have 15 science classes to take my senior year of university, so that will definitely improve. but when I apply my gpa is going to be low. how does this work? i know of academic update for fall? but what about winter and spring quarters? I mean the decisions come out in fall, so how would that factor in?

Well it'd be best for you to call into all the colleges/universities you are interested in and describe your situation and ask their advice.

It also depends on how low your gpa is... and how high your OAT is. If your GPA is "terribly" low sub 2.8 I would wait till you at least have another quarter worth of marks before applying, and the least you should do would be to CONTACT the schools you are applying to and inform them of your situation.

Be proactive, even just being in contact with the registrar can put you apart from other candidates in similar situations that did not attempt to do anything.

im right at around 2.8, but with my summer semester class and my fall quarter grades, i'll be up to a 2.9 about a 3.0 ish. but I cannot academic update until dec 20 (optomcas told me). so I would think i hsould submit asap ie this summer, and put the 1 summer class and 4 fall classes as in progress, rather than apply in dec with a 3.0? I mean if they reject me because i have a sub 3.0 and I later at a 3.0 will they reconsider? or is it once that they look at it they dont look anymore?

There is no point asking here, as it is highly unlikely that a representative from the various colleges you are applying is reading your message.

CALL THE SCHOOLS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AND ASK.

Yeah, what he said.

Also, no, once you're rejected, you're done for that application year as far as that school is concerned.
