Hey guys, currently I have a 4.0 GPA but am going to probably get a D in biochem, dropping my GPA to a 3.86. I entered my GPA in a GPA calculator and when I reinputted biochem at three credits with an “A” for my retake it got me to a 3.87. However, when I only have one 3 credit biochem class listed with a B (average of A and D) it had my GPA at a 3.93. I’m just confused on which one is correct. Thanks!

Sorry, it should be an average of a C (2.5). Still, it came out to a 3.9.

It’s about the weight. You said you only entered one 3 credits for the average, but the average is of two 3 credits.

fyi, dental schools are still going to see the original D class and add it to the calculation, regardless of retaking it.
