Hey all. I am entering my junior year in undergrad and am planning to apply for the fall 2009 cylce of dental school. My question is, if i want to apply early which is gonna be in May 2008, i really only have just one more year to bring my gpa up rite? or do dental schools actually look further at what classes applicants take senior year? thanks for readin!

you have this year to look as presentable as possible, but they will also look into your senior year grades.

if you have upward trend.. then, it should be fine.. they like to see people are getting better.. but not the downhill of your gpa.. so keep up!

You get a chance (somewhere in December I think) to add any classes you've taken and grades you've recieved, and they recalculate your GPA and all that good stuff. So you have a little bit more time. I don't really know how often schools look at the updated numbers though...Good Luck!

I think USC and some of the schools that interview later in the cycle for sure look at those updated grades. Pretty sure it doesn't help for most of the other schools though.
