Hey everyone,

I am wondering how dental schools view your overall gpa as opposed to your science gpa. I have heard that the science gpa is basically the one that matters. Can I get any advice on this issue. Thanks alot!

That's pretty much the case! They really scrutinize your science GPA, and the reason is that they want to ensure you have the strong science background in order to survive dental school. Yet, having a high science GPA alone doesn't guarantee anything. GPA and DAT scores go hand in hand. If you have a high GPA you need to validate it by earning a high score on your DAT, or else you're risking the legitimacy of your high GPA.
