So I got my transcript verified by AADSAS, and I have a 3.49 sGPA and a 3.49 cGPA. My question is...since I was so close to a 3.5, would adcoms look at my gpa as a 3.5?

And I'm guessing BCP gpa is more important/weighs more than just science gpa?

I think 3.49 is different from 3.5
I had 3.69 when I finished all the requirements to graduate.
However, I thought it looks bad compared to 3.7 so I took an extra semester and it became 3.73 😀
But people on SDN told me there isn't much difference between 3.69 and 3.70.
I still took more classes to increase GPA by 0.01 but I ended up increasing it by 0.04 so I am happy 🙂

p.s. I can't wait for FF13.

Darn, if I only known I was this close to a 3.5....argh.

I can't wait for FF13 either, but kinda glad it isn't released yet, so I can focus on my DATs😀

It's ok, I am sure 0.01 doesn't matter. I am just a paranoid person.

I hope we can do well on DAT so that FF13 doesn't stop us from studying for retake 🙂

when is ur DAT?

lol i guess it will just depend on if they are glass half full or glass half empty kinda people. 😀

I do not understand this attitude. 3.49 and 3.50 is the same. 0.01 does not mean a difference at all. Instead of thinking 0.01 gpa, you may think how many hours of shadowing or volunteering work you complete. Do you think that your personel statemement is powerful? What can you do to improve your interview skill?
People spend thousands of $ to improve their GPA slightly (If it is really low (below 3), then it is logical to go graduate school or taking extra classes)! GPA and DAT are not the only part of applications. Good luck with your application!

Well, the thing is that I've been trying really hard to get my gpa to at least a 3.5 this school year, but I had a few slip ups that cost me, like 1 point from say a B- to a B. Since I was so close to a 3.5, I was just wondering if a 3.49 is looked at the same as a 3.5 so I can feel better. As for shadowing, I have over 200 hours, I have research, strong LORs, etc..so I think I'm good on those parts, just my grades haven't been stellar.

I think they'd look at your GPA for what it is. A 3.49 is a 3.49, which is not bad at all.
