I'm so happy that my GPA was verified today! but also a little worried because I have a 3.16 non-science GPA. Does anyone know if this is gonna hurt me?? What are my chances to get into UOP or UCSF?
heres some of my stats:
cGPA 3.37
sGPA 3.44
BCP 3.47
non-sGPA 3.16
DAT 22AA 22PAT
I also have 1000+ hours on dental experience and I am an assistant in a periodontal office.

I go to UC Davis and I have a 3.43 cGPA from there. What really sucks is I took community college classes in high school and got 2 C's giving me a 2.00 from city college of San Francisco. I never should of taken those classes 🙁.

This isn't a GPA question, but a "what are my chances" question. Compare your gpa to your schools average accepted gpa.

Thanks for the help?

I was just asking if a 3.16 non science GPA would hurt my chances. and giving a little more info

Sorry, I'm just trying not to encourage these types of threads (see rules on 'what are my chances' threads).

Have you already applied? If not, this thread might have some relevance if you were trying to decide which schools to apply to by avoiding automatic rejects. I think you already know the answer that anybody would give you. Obviously, it will hurt you slightly, but at least you have a fair science gpa and bcp and great DAT.

Read up on your schools websites, and what others have already written about those schools.

I think schools care much more about sciGPA than nonsciGPA

Thanks for the advice, just wanted to figure out how much it would hurt my chances because my app is already submitted and I'm a little worried because its so low. anyone else out there have a pretty low nonsGPA and an
avg sGPA??

Yeah, just try not to worry about the things that you can't control anymore. Just focus on preparing for the interviews that you land.
