What does it mean when a school states that they take the better grade from a repeated class? Does it mean that they don't use PTCAS gpa and instead calculate their own gpa's. The reason is because all of my classes combined would make my 2.89 but if I use the highest grades from repeated classes it would be 3.10. Or does the school use ptcas as weeding out system and I would be cut off then. Any advice?

I forgot to mention that I am just taking about prerequisite classes. My cumulate gpa is a 3.21.

If they state that they only use the better grade to calculate the prereq GPA, then they calculate that on their own instead of using the one calculated by PTCAS.
