whenever optometry schools calculate your GPA do they look at how your university does the GPA scale or do they just calculate according to their scale? My school does the (+) and (-) system..

Also when they are looking at your pre-req's GPA do they take in account all pre-reqs like psychology, statistics, etc. or just the science classes? one last question, if you take a few classes at at community college and majority at university how do you average your GPA from the CC and the university?

**if anyone knows in depth about UHCO it would be great! 🙂
thanks for any help

For the UHCO application, you disregard + and - so an A- and a A+ are just A's. For your pre-req's psychology, statistics (etc) matter, but then there is also a section where you calculate your gpa based on subject matter. I took courses at a CC and although my university did not calculate them into my gpa, it was calculated into my gpa for optometry schools. I attached the application so you can see the exact format. Good Luck :luck:

I think PCO calculated my GPA based on the Waterloo school. Since up North A=80 and above
B=70-79
etc...

Thank you so much for the attached application! 😀

How long does it take you to fill this out? It looks so hideous! 😱
