With our enlarged GPR - now 10 residents, we are looking for an enrollment for many different schools. While you learn from the attendings, you also learn what is done at different schools. With 10 residents, the on-call is easy.
Our residency has a splint personality - rich in advanced dentistry/implants and rich in oral medicine/the medically compromised.
Eight months are spent in general dentistry and five weeks in both oral and maxillofacial surgery and in oral medicine (in-patient/outpatient consults). Other rotations include: two weeks in each: anesthesia, family medicine, and emergency medicine.
Every Wednesday afternoon we have implant clinic where residents learn all aspects of implantology.
