Hello,

I am a 4th year Canadian Dental Student looking to apply for GPR residencies in the states and I'm looking for a GPR that allows one to place Implants, Certifies IV sedation, 3rd molar exo and doing lots of Endo (...I know, a lot of stuff). I have ordered the ASDA books and am hunting on each programs website's but I would like a more concrete idea of which programs are good.

Do you know of any good programs?

Thanks!

The Dental School in San Antonio provides this in both its AEGD and GPR programs. Both are one-year with an optional second year, total 16 first year resident slots. The Audie Murphy VA AEGD in San Antonio also provides this.

Our Dental School AEGD and GPR also have externships; you can visit the programs for 1 day to 2 months. Your School should sign off on this so you would be formally at our School so you can provide care in our Hospital Dentistry Clinic and so you're covered for health insurance, malpractice. Otherwise, you can still visit but not provide care. Loks of extraction experience. You could also be given a day to visit the Audie Murphy VA program. But, if an externship sounds good, you should move quickly because programs wil be selecting their interview lists soon.

Hi facuthscsa, I heard your lecture last week at UTHSCSA and you held up some books where you let us know about ASDA books we can check out where it describes AEGD programs. Can you remind me where we can get that book please? Thank you

Yep, contact Carolyn Whitehead at 7-3456 and she'll let you know if she has the book. It's out right now, borrowed by another student. And another student is waiting as well. Each student is allowed to borrow the ASDA Guide to Postdoctoral General Dentistry Programs for two days.
