Hey everyone! For all my fellow grad students out there: I was wondering if you requested a LOR from a grad professor/ adviser/ research PI in addition to your committee letter from undergrad. I know some schools will say specifically that they want an extra LOR from the grad school institution. But for those schools that don't say that, I was wondering if you still sent a grad school letter anyways?

I'm freaking out a little bit. I didn't send my grad LOR to schools which didn't ask, and I still got a "Your application is now complete" email. But part of me is still paranoid and thinks I'm missing something.

Yes, you should send a LOR from your PI to every med school. Don't panic; most med schools will accept additional letters (up to six), so you can still send the letter from your PI to the rest of your schools as long as you haven't already submitted more than the maximum number of letters.

Okay, thanks @QofQuimica for your fast reply! Does this put me behind in the app process? I submitted my secondaries mid to late July.
Also, is it okay if I use a LOR from one of my grad professors? (I'm pursuing an MPH now so I don't have a PI).

Are you writing a thesis? If so, I suggest asking whomever is your thesis sponsor to write the LOR. If not, then a member of your grad committee would also be appropriate.
