Grad Transcripts - When to send?

I'm applying to programs with app due dates starting Dec 1st. I am currently enrolled in a grad program (my first and only semester), and I know I am obligated to send my transcripts fromthis. However, I won't have any grades until December. Is it ok to not send them until January when I have received my grades? I don't want to be "late" in sending them in, but I don't think they want to see a blank transcript either.

Most require you to send them before the deadline (so they can see what courses are in progress) and then a final copy after your grades are posted.
