I'm wondering if anybody has any idea how to do this:

My school doesn't accept transfer grades, so the classes I took while I was abroad with another university don't count towards my GPA. I had a 4.0 while abroad, though, so I was wondering that for my SMP applications do I have to submit my UG institution's offical GPA or can I recalculate it with the classes I took while abroad? It does raise my GPA somewhat.

Thanks!

Best directly ask the program you're interested whether that's ok to do. Don't rely on hearsay on a Internet board.

If you already have an AMCAS application just go by whatever that's on there.

Eventually you'll have to submit your university's official transcript for SMPs to look through and confirm. Any discrepancies may slow processing down to confirm. As the previous poster said, best to check with the SMP in question. Personally, I would follow what my University has put down and as an attachment or side note, to include a recalculated GPA with your study abroad grades. I would also probably follow what AMCAS would do in this situation seeing that many SMPs will follow what AMCAS requests when it comes to grade calculations.
