Does anyone know a website where it lists if your school is infalted/deflated and how much?
Was just curious as to my school
Thanks

You will not find any information of that kind. There are probably news articles in USA Today regarding the issue, but schools do not make their grading systems or curves publicly known. If you go to a school that doesn't grade on exact percentages, but rather a curve, you should know.

Dental schools don't care about inflation/deflation fyi.

too bad they don't get suspicious when someone has a 3.2-3.3 and gets a 21AA+

They might get a little suspicious when an applicant with a 4.0 ends up with an AA of 17.

yeah, but DAT scores are pretty much a cut off filter, once you get above 19, everyone is pretty much okay as it would seem from predents data.
Then it comes down to gpa 🙂

Why should they? It takes hard work to keep around a 4.0 GPA for 3+ years, and is very easy to get a 3.2/3.3ish GPA.

bc maybe the 3.3 isn't inflated and is actually deflated? thats what this whole thread is about.

we're talking about someone with a 4.0 and a 19 DAT or 18 DAT, vs someone w/ 3.3 and a 21+, the 4.0 19 DAT screams inflation.

Honestly, some schools are harder than other schools. This is why there is a standardized test. If you have a sub-par GPA then ace the DAT.

Or just go to a school that inflates GPAs and do average on the DAT. Or go to a school that inflates GPAs and ace the DAT and get a full ride to dental school on a presidential scholarship.

You read my mind 😉 Do presidential scholarships exist?
