Ok its time to register for summer and I really need to know if i need to take a class for grade replacement.

I took a class at my 4 year called PCB 2099 Foundations of Human Physiology and got an F (had problems going on and had a different career path) and then I took BSC2085 anatomy and physiology 1 at my community college a few years later and got an A.

My question is will it adequately replace the previous F since they are both 3 credits and the A covers physiology with the addition of the anatomy component of the course.

The course descriptions are the following

PCB2099 Foundations of human physiology
-------Functional survey of the organ systems of the human body. Intended primarily for non-science majors.

BSC2085 Anatomy and Physiology 1
------The structure and functions of the systems of the human body, emphasizing those aspects most pertinent to students in the nursing and allied health technology programs.

Please help!

To replace a course it needs to be virtually the same as the AACOMAS instruction say

Repeat:
Courses repeated for academic improvement or
grade change must be listed each time taken. Repeated
coursework MUST be equivalent to the original course
in course content and credit hours to be used as a
replacement. Also, course levels must be equivalent.

You need ask AACOMAS but my opinion is they would not for two reasons

1) one course is physiology only , the other both anatomy and physiology
2) one is primarily for non-science majors and the other is allied health
What's the best way to contact them about a grade-replacement question?

The second part of the description really kills any chance that they will allow the replacement. It gets pretty tricky when classes are upper division sciences. I would say they don't replace due to "non-science majors" vs "students in the nursing and allied health technology programs". Check Assist.org to see if your school recognizes them as equivalent.

Still call.
