If I was to do a grade replacement, would the class have to be taken at the same school? I was going to wait after I graduate, take a year off to take the classes at a different cheaper 4-year state university. Is that okay or would it have to be at the same school that I took the class?

Yes, you can repeat courses at a different university. However they need to be the same credit amount and the course description has to be very similar.

I need to re-take Bio 1 with lab. My school has it where lab and lecture are included in 1 grade and the class is 4 credit hrs. I was looking at this other state university, the lecture is 3 credits and lab is 2 but they are separate ( i think ) is this not acceptable?

So the retake course is a total of 5 credits? That should be fine.
