Im working on taking my pre-reqs for DO medical school replacements.

Im going into my final year about to earn my degree in Business Administration degree. My father is a professor at the university I attend so I am able to take classes for free. I have a few low grades from when I started college that are affecting my GPA, 1 of the classes is a basic math class (1.0). I have done much better in higher levels of Math just that semester my sister had a stroke and I missed a lot of class. Is it worth retaking that class if it brings my GPA up even though it is a basic class?

depends on how much it brings your GPA and what your gpa is. If your gpa is a 3.5 and it will raise it to 3.52, no. If your gpa is 2.99 and it will raise it to a 3.3, absolutely!

Ok, Thank you.

Information was really helpful

I have one more questions regarding grade replacement,

Is there a difference in how the grade that is being replaced is calculated before and after I graduate? I was planning on getting my degree next year and then finish up my pre-reqs the next semester while taking a few classes to replace my low grades. I am able to postpone graduation if its beneficial because I don't pay for tuition, only fees.

thanks again

You sometimes get first priority for courses if you don't graduate.

agree with this. even if you attend the same college, if you enroll as a guest/non degree seeking student (whatever your university calls it), you are generally given the last spots left and only if there are some. if you postpone, you usually register as a junior or senior giving you top of the list preference.

that makes total sense, Thank you for everyones response
