I got verified for AACOMAS this week and was looking at the GPA page. And it shows a trend of a high freshman year, average sophomore and junior years, and a lower senior year. Part of the reason why is that I had most of my credits marked as senior because I switched majors and it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to study. Not an excuse for some of the grades that were lower, just why I have so many credits. (GPA went about 3.8, 3.5, 3.5, 3.4) Freshman year was also at an arguably easier school for grade inflation.
Anyway, it shows that senior year is lower than the rest but the last 30 credits were about a 3.85 with mostly upper science classes, but this was diluted by the fact I had so many credits that weren't as high.. Should I be overly worried about it being a downward trend? And should I highlight the last 30 credits on secondaries in the "explain an academic discrepancy" section without bringing focus on the trend? Or do they look at the individual grades and this would unwise/unnecessary?
Thanks!
Edit:I clarified a part.
