Graded Research Credits?

I've been doing research in a chemistry lab and I'm curious to see if it would count toward my BCP/science GPA. I'm getting graded units for it and the class is listed as:

Undergrad Research- Chem 180

It falls under the chemistry department; I've asked around in a couple of places and I've been told it would fall under BCP/science.

Can anyone confirm/deny my suspicions?

Yes, as long as the units come from the chemistry department, it counts for BCP. For example, my research units were listed as "BIO 199" so they counted under Bio.
