Hello Friends

I am pretty new here. Have heard a lot about this site from my fellow classmates. I had a rather simple question (might sound childish to some). I am not sure if this would be the right area to post this thread either. So I apologize if this thread causes inconvenience to anyone in anyway.

My question is regarding the grades that we get for our classes in Med school. I might be on the verge of getting a C for one of mine. How badly would that affect given that most of the colleges are now pass/fail? This is a 1 credit course as well.

I would appreciate some feedback on this, plus some info on how grades affect us in general when it comes to rotations etc. I have never gotten a C yet in my career as a student. So this is starting to give me the chills. Just wanted to know how to bounce back, if I do end up with a C.

Thanks

Well, one C won't kill you, especially if it's a 1st or 2nd year class. I would think it's equivalent to a "Pass" on a pass/high pass/honors system. If it's a third year clerkship, then that could hurt if it were in the specialty you wanted to go into. But otherwise, I wouldn't let it keep you up nights.

Just my $0.02.

hello friend,
you can bounce back by doing really well on Step I and honoring as many third year clerkships as possible.
