Grades not out, submit transcript without them??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi all,

I studied abroad this past semester with SIT, which AMCAS recognizes as a US school and requires transcripts. Grades still aren't out yet, and won't be for a week. Then there's a transcript processing time...

My whole application is done, should I just submit the empty transcript from SIT (courses without the grades) now and update with secondaries? I have a 4.0, and it won't change with these new grades.

Please let me know what you think ASAP!

Also:
I just took a language class, internship, ethics, and soc class... none fill med school requirements.
I think you should request SIT to send your transcripts as soon as the grades are final, and submit your application. When AMCAS sees that it has both your mainland transcript and SIT transcript, your application can promptly enter the verification queue.

But then AMCAS takes 1-2 weeks... that means it wont be three weeks till everything is verified. SHould I just send my SIT transcript now (which lists the courses as in progress) and update schools with grades later?
It’s only 1 week difference, that’s why in my opinion it’s worth getting the final transcript and being done with it.
There are several pages of instructions and a video about study abroad courses in the AMCAS guide, starting at about page 42.
Now clearly you could submit now, after all some people apply their Junior year in college and have lots more upcoming courses.

I submitted transcript without spring grades in 2 cycles. Don’t think it hurts unless you have a low gpa and spring grades would help show a positive trend
