Hello

I finished applying to med schools a while ago and I just recently finished my first interview. That being said, would my senior grades matter? I feel like i'm going to make all Bs or Cs. Would med schools even see my senior grades if I completed in early August?

You have to provide a final transcript to your chosen school before matriculating, and yes, if your grades are low enough, the school can potentially rescind your acceptance.

General rule of thumb for those applying to go straight to med school after undergrad is to continue trying to get good grades until you have an acceptance in hand, then after that you can dial it back a bit and can shoot for B's. Consider what might happen if you don't get in anywhere this year and have to reapply. A senior year of B's and C's would definitely hurt your reapp.

Same thing happened to me, applied after Junior year with a 3.7ish and 34 MCAT, I had 4 interviews and didn't get in, my senior year gpa was a 3.0. I'm screwed now, 0 II's so far with a 3.6, 34 even though I have been complete for almost 2 months at most places. And I pretty much applied to only low tier schools

DO NOT LET YOUR GRADES SLIP UNTIL an Acceptance is in hand
