GradPlus loans not distributed until October!

Okay, I just contacted my school to ask why my GradPlus loan was still in process and not approved yet, and they told me that they won't be distributed until mid to late October! So now I'm freaking out and wondering if I'll have enough money until that happens. Is anybody else in this boat, or is it just my school?

Its not just your school. I've come across at least one other school.

Their recommendation was, find another place to get money. Gee, thast helpful.

Yeah, helpful. 🙄 Now I'm wondering if I should convert half my loan to a traditional alternative loan.

I apologize for bumping such an old thread, but while doing a search on Grad PLUS loans I came across this one . . . is this still the case? Do Grad PLUS loans not get dispersed until October??
