Hey everyone,

My undergrad GPA is pretty low and I have decided to attend graduate school as a "stepping stone" into dental school.

Does it matter what subject/field you study in graduate school? I

I want to conduct my research/thesis in either animal behavior or population ecology which I assume is not really "healthy---dental related). However it will be within the Biological Science department and I will get my Masters from the department.

Does anyone see a potential problem with this? Will it actually be more beneficial (in terms of getting into dental school) for me to focus my reserach/thesis in a health related subject....say genetics?

I called a few of the dental shcools and got differing answers......

Thanks all

Given the fact that you would be pursuing a graduate degree as a "stepping stone," you should look at the curriculum for some dental schools, and then find a graduate program which touches on those same subjects. 😛
