Background: Graduating May 2014, I.T./PreMedical, GPA ~3.5; have not taken psychology, biochemistry, sociology.
Plan: After graduating I plan on working full time as a software developer while working towards a masters degree in computer science. I had plans on working at a university (that also has a medical school) but I'm unsure of how that will work out. Regardless, I won't be taking the MCAT for another couple of years; I won't be attempting med school until I've got my masters and have paid off my current student loan debt. Since I haven't taken the new courses for the 2015 MCAT I'll have to self study those.
Current questions: Will graduate school + work experience help me in getting accepted to medical school? What is the process of getting letters of recommendation for someone who has been out of school for x years? What are good resources for learning the new content on the 2015 MCAT? I've done some looking around but when you're trying to teach yourself biochemistry it's hard to really know where to begin.
To boil everything down, what can I do to keep up while beginning a career as a developer and will my path make it more difficult to become a physician?
