I joined a very productive multispecialty group in the private insurance mecca of Plano. Hearts, neuro, general, pedi. No overnight call. One in seven weekend calls (pager call only). Really want to be a part time faculty at the school, but isn't going to work out.

Congrats UT. You rock the house buddy. Now you can give us tips on how to land phattie jobs, what makes a practice attractive, and pitfalls to avoid/red flags in the job market.

Now buy me those braces!

Crap I still have to pass my step III....what a awsomely funtastic long road.

Wasn't going to do the 'me too' thing, but really.. congratulations to the graduating CA-3s. I greatly look forward to hearing what it's like out in private practice!
 
Thanks guys. It's been an amazing run. I will definitely stay on this board as it's refreshing to see/read fresh faces interested in the field and I definitely like having a sounding board for ideas.

You like that cool avatar? Cruising the internet when I saw it and knew it was fated to be my new symbol. I kind of feel like over the past three years, I have risen from the dead or near dead status.

UTSouthwestern, I too have enjoyed your contributions to this forum. Your insights were very helpful when I was trying to switch to anesthesia. you took the time to answer my pms, I really appreciated that. I have keep some of your clinical pointers for future reference. I am sure that success will follow you wherever you go.
