Hi all-

IM resident here and I am giving a GR in 6-8 weeks. We generally do broad topics that cover a lot of gen med issues (inpatient DM mgmt, HTN mgmt outpatient, even gout). I want to do something relevant of course but also interesting and up to date so that this isn't just a massive review of something. Any thoughts? What's something a little off the wall that internists should be aware of in practice?

Always loved giving the talk to residents and interns about systemic sequelae of cirrhosis going deep into pathophys and eventually management, and evidence to support the use of various interventions;

HRS
Hepato-pulmonary syndrome
Porto-pulmonary HTN
Etc
