Okay I come from a disadvantaged economic background and usually end up getting many grants from FAFSA during my undergrad years. I was wondering if this carried over to Pharmacy School?

You can always apply for grants, but there are far fewer for grants grad school students.

Are they made a priority for disadvantaged economic students like in undergrad?

If you're talking about Pell grant, no, that doesn't carry into graduate years(Only undergrad). There are no Pell grants available for graduate studies or grants that I know of in my state of Missouri.

In my state, we have some varying grants that look like they might apply to 1st/2nd years of graduate studies. I'd check with your state Department of Higher Education to be sure. I'd say on the federal level though, there is nothing available unless maybe you are military and receive G.I. Bill and other funds.

Please, if you're a current pharm student or know of one first-hand please post here if they receive grants. I've checked out the scholarship scene for pharmacy school and it's not too clear. According to one of the admission counselors at UMKC, they said scholarships range from $500 to full-tuition, but you know those are going to be competitive. I'd say be pro-active and bring up grants/scholarships in your meetings with your prospective pharmacy schools.

Federally? No. None. You won't even get subsidized loans.

Fact is, 99.99% of pharmacy students are "disadvantaged" based on the relative cost of tuition. No one can afford 40 grand a year. Your school will likely offer some scholarships, but if it's anything like mine, they'll be primarily for people with first-semester GPAs > 3.9 and Asian students.
